Lipoma of floor of mouth
This figure illustrates a benign lump on the floor of the mouth. The lump has a smooth surface and the overlying mucosa is of normal colour. On palpation it is firm to soft in consistency. The clinical features indicate a benign soft tissue lump such as a lipoma. Cancer was excluded by biopsy.
Notes: Most soft tissue lumps in the mouth are benign outgrowths, This one is a lipoma.
